fal@stanleyreuter.com F. A. Little, Jr., was appointed to the United States District Court for the Western District of Louisiana by President Ronald Reagan in 1984. He served as Chief Judge of that court from 1996 to 2002. He retired in 2006. Judge Little received his undergraduate and law degrees from Tulane University. Before entering his judicial career, Judge Little practiced in New Orleans and Alexandria. His practice was focused on tax, estate, and corporate matters. He has been a law-school instructor and a frequent speaker at domestic and international meetings, and he has published in the Tulane Law Review, The Journal of Taxation, and the Hastings Constitutional Law Journal. He is a Fellow in the American College of Trust and Estate Counsel, a council member and senior officer in the Louisiana State Law Institute, and a lifetime fellow in the American Bar Association Bar Foundation and the Louisiana State Bar Foundation.
